Introduction
This article describes how to set up and how to use multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access Location Risk Intelligence Platform.
Overview
MFA adds an extra layer of security to your login. In addition to your username and password, you'll be asked for a verification code from an authenticator app or a one-time password (OTP) via email at irregular intervals. MFA is an important part of the secure identity and access management in Location Risk Intelligence Platform (for additional information, refer to MFA frequently asked questions (FAQ)).
Smarter security: Our risk-based MFA only prompts you for the extra verification step when needed—such as if you’re signing in from a suspicious device or location. If everything looks normal, you can log in without additional steps.
Note: MFA set-up is not initiated during the registration process, as the identity is already verified via e-mail. It is also not initiated automatically with the first login, but only when the security factors require it.
You can verify your account through the following ways:
Note: After setting up the MFA for the first time, you might be prompted to sign in to the platform again.
