Introduction
This article explains the occurrence of the user name being replaced with technical user ID in the Usage Dashboard.
Note: This only occurs in the User Dashboard.
Overview
The Analytics Dashboard gives detailed usage analytics of your organization at a glance. The Users Dashboard displays your organization's Location Risk Intelligence location consumption on user level. You can view the usage statistics by the user name and export consumption data.
You might encounter the user name being substituted with a technical ID value, like this one, for example:
However, this is not an error: the user name is anonymized in accordance with Location Risk Intelligence's privacy policy.
Note: We process users' personal and personally identifiable data in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), and all other applicable laws and regulations.
Reasons for anonymization
This anonymization takes place due to the following reasons:
- The user has been deleted from our internal user management system (this typically occurs when the user has not logged into the platform for 580 days or has been manually deleted upon request).
- The user's PII (personally identifiable information) will be deleted in accordance with GDPR requirements as there is no business reason to retain this data.
However, the logs with the technical user ID are kept for accounting purposes. The user ID is not associated with any PII data and is therefore anonymized. The usage logs are kept for 10 years under accounting regulations in Germany.
Note: It is not possible to restore the original person.
Verifying the association between the user ID and the corresponding user
To verify and associate the user ID with a specific user, contact your organization's administrator: admins can review the generated report to identify the user to whom the ID is assigned.
Note: User information remains accessible only until the user account is deleted. After that, it will not be displayed in the reports.
Note: For questions about a deleted user, the organization’s administrator can contact Customer Support. However, this is not a standard procedure. As Location Risk Intelligence adheres to its personal data protection policy, we cannot assure that such data can be delivered.
