Introduction
This article describes how to set up and how to use multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access Location Risk Intelligence Platform.
Overview
MFA adds an extra layer of security to your login. In addition to your username and password, you'll be asked for a verification code from an authenticator app or a one-time password (OTP) through an email at irregular intervals. MFA is an important part of the secure identity and access management in Location Risk Intelligence Platform (for additional information, refer to MFA frequently asked questions (FAQ)).
Adaptive security: MFA is triggered when needed, based on signals like your current IP address, previously used IPs, and how long it has been since your last verification. Even if a sign-in looks familiar, we may occasionally ask you to verify again to keep your account protected.
Note: MFA set-up is not initiated during the registration process, as the identity is already verified via email. It may be also not initiated automatically with the first sign in, but only when the security factors require it.
Step-by-step guides
You can verify your account through the following ways:
Note: After setting up the MFA for the first time, you might be prompted to sign in to the platform again.
